Tank Storage Asia 2014

Dynaglass Reinforced Plastic Pte Ltd is one of Singapore’s leading advanced composite products manufacturer. Founded in 1971, this leading polymer composite business aims to deliver top quality, high performance and innovative custom molded fiber reinforced plastic engineering products and services to customers both in Singapore and around the region. In 2003, the company first introduced the innovative Vap-O-Loc Internal Floating Roof (IFR), which broke away from the conventional floating roofs for oil storage tanks. Traditionally, internal floating roofs for oil storage tanks are made from carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Dynaglass’ patented IFR, on the other hand, is made of Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE). It is a more effective material to stop the oil emission losses and prevent wastage. In addition, it is also prefabricated in the factory and taken to the site to be assembled, which made the installation process smarter and much safer for workers.

“Tank Storage Asia is an important trade show for industry players to come together and share knowledge. We have participated in the trade show for four years. This year’s show, however, is particularly significant and beautiful, as there is a Singapore Pavilion for the first time. It is a good platform for us to network, meet our customers and share our information to the visitors from the region,” said Ms. Beno Seow, Director, Business Development of Dynaglass.

JEC Asia Innovations Awards 2010

Singaporean,Stephen Seow PBM., founder of Dynamics Engineering was awarded the most emblematic personality in Asia Pacific for his contribution to the composite industry for over 40 years and received the JEC Asia Life Achievement at the JEC Composites Asia 2010 Show recently held at Suntec City, Singapore from 12th, 13th to 14th October 2010.

In his ACCEPTANCE speech, Mr. Seow took a stroll down memory lane from his very first experience with the concept of “laminates” at the age of 15. He built a single-seater paper canoe comprising of a wooden skeletal structure and about 20 layers of brown paper which was made waterproof by applying “Ponstan” a commonly used waterproof glue. Then his ‘toys’ grew bigger and ‘bolder’ and led him to build his own sports car in 1961. He called it his “SS Special”. Mr Seow and SS Special made several appearances in the Grand Prix of the 1960s.

But it was the versatility and the advancement in FRP Composite that led him to setting up Dynamics Engineering in 1971 thereafter in 1985 incorporated Dynaglass Reinforced Plastic Pte Ltd.
